AV Equipment Question?
At a recent conference, we plugged three laptops into one ’switch box,” which allowed us to select which laptop’s signal would send to a single data projector. This component also allowed us to capture a single image into a “freeze frame,” thus allowing us to hit a button and display the freeze frame on the screen and work on our computers without audience seeing us work.
I’d like to price and perhaps buy this component. Any idea what it’s called?

What you are looking for is called a VGA switcher. The “freeze frame” feature will add a lot to the cost:
